The city of Hasselt is an easy ride by train, a central location with connection to all the big Belgian cities. (Liege, Brussels, Antwerp and beyond)
Those who wish to catch the early bird and party all night long, morning trains will do you good. Check your travel route form the Hasselt translation at www.belgianrail.be.
Thalys and Eurostar can be booked and connected in Brussels to a train to Hasselt. (select ‘Any Belgian station’ for your ticket)

Brussels is the most obvious and biggest airport with a large range of airlines, but Charleroi and Eindhoven are not much further and well known and used too.
